Message from the MTAW Outgoing President, Barb Guckenberger:
Dear members,
I want to thank you for the opportunity to have served as your President for this past year. It has been one of the greatest experiences in my career and I was honored to represent MTAW in such a capacity. I only hope that I have met most of your expectations and look forward to serving as Past President for 2020-2021.
I have said it before but it is worth repeating: the current board members/past Presidents that I have served with are truly what makes this organization successful. So, a big thank you to each and every one of them for all of the hard work that ensued during my term as President. We accomplished a lot and we could not be the successful and professional organization that we are without all of their collaborative efforts. This has been a stressful past few months for everyone and I am so proud of how Treasurers pull together to support each other in time of need and still fulfill their duties!
As you know, the 2020 Spring Conference had to be cancelled due to the Governor’s orders. The MTAW Annual meeting has been postponed to the Fall 2020 Conference so those items will be reported to the members at that time. However, the board was able to hold the Spring board meeting via Zoom to conduct necessary business. During the meeting, we approved a new slate of Officers and Directors so I have officially turned over the MTAW President torch to Deb Winter. Congratulations to Deb; I know she will serve this fine organization well.
I wish you all a safe and healthy summer and I look forward to seeing you in the fall!
