Dear members,
What a crazy, crazy year it has been in all aspects of our lives!! Who would have thought a year ago, that we would have to decide to hold our first ever virtual conference? But here we are and there is a light at the end of this tunnel, and we will all make it through!!
I want to thank everyone for the opportunity to serve as your President this year. While the association was unable to hold last spring’s and last fall’s conferences, and I was unable to experience the full scope of the president’s position, it was still a rewarding and learning experience for me. Serving on the Board and/or chairing a committee is a fantastic way to immerse yourself in MTAW and truly understand all the hard work and dedication that goes on behind the scenes. I am grateful for every one of the Board members, District Directors and Committee Chairs I had the pleasure of working with this year. I am handing the torch over to your new President Barb Hendricks, who I am confident will serve this organization well in the year to come.
I hope you were able to attend the Spring Conference. The conference committee did a fantastic job in pulling together a virtual conference with no template to follow. I also sincerely hope to be able to see everyone face to face at the fall conference in Manitowoc. I wish you all a safe, healthy summer and thank you for being a member of MTAW.
